A PUBLIC ART DEDICATION AND TOUR OF RECENT DOWNTOWN ART INSTALLATIONS
FRIDAY AFTERNOON, DECEMBER 9, 2016 at 3 PM; Art Dedication starts at 3 PM; Trolley Tour of Downtown art installations follows at about 3:15 (concluding by 4 PM)
At the LOBBY OF FIRE STATION 45, 1140 COURT STREET (access parking by taking MLK and turning back east on Brownell)
CAA is hosting a dedication and celebration of the installation of the sculpture “Accumulate”, recently installed in the lobby of Fire Station 45 as part of the City’s Public Art Program. Cultural Affairs Specialist Christopher Hubbard will lead a short dedication ceremony. Following this, attendees are invited to board the trolley for a short tour around the immediate downtown area to view other recent public art installations by the CAA, CRA, and the City. There is no charge for the trolley tour but seating is limited to 35. Tour participants will be returned to the fire station no later than 4 PM and refreshments will be offered to all guests.
