CALL TO ARTISTS – SEEKING IMAGES SUITABLE FOR USE IN “THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX”

WHO CAN APPLY: All Tampa Bay area artists.
WHAT: An opportunity for your images to be used for a public art project bringing art and beauty to Clearwater. As part of its continuing mission to support art and artists, the Clearwater Arts Alliance (CAA) created the Thinking Outside the Box program. In this project, CAA is installing artistic images on traffic signal boxes at intersections all over Clearwater, paying the artists for their images. So far, there are 18 completed boxes.
DEADLINE TO APPLY: FRIDAY, JUNE 2, 2017 is the deadline to submit your Entry Form and up to ten (10) images for consideration by CAA.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR: Images that are bright, colorful, engaging and tasteful. Fine or extremely detailed work will not likely work well for this program due to the scale of the boxes and the fact that traffic tends to be moving by quickly. Nothing that can be construed as advertisement will qualify.
OPPORTUNITY FOR ARTISTS TO BE PAID: CAA will pay $1,000 for the right to use three (3) suitable images. Timing of payment and terms are to be set by the program guidelines.
